If you’re a fan of the Microsoft Power Platform and more so Microsoft Power Automate (what used to be called Microsoft Flow) then you’ll be happy to know we are fully integrated into their ecosystem. We’re now a listed connector so you can quickly and easily integrate ClickSend with hundreds and hundreds of top business applications, like Salesforce, Mailchimp, Dropbox and WordPress to name a few. And being Microsoft you have some truly amazing integration opportunities with ClickSend and your favourite MS products like Outlook, Office, Sharepoint etc.

What is MS Power Automate?

As Microsoft says “Take care of what’s important. Automate the rest. Streamline repetitive tasks and paperless processes with Microsoft Power Automate—so you can focus your attention where it’s needed most.”

Power Automate is Microsoft’s Cloud-based automation engine that allows you to create quick and easy business process automations with limited/low code. It’s essentially Microsoft’s version of products like Zapier and IFTTT.

It allows anyone, regardless of technical knowledge, the ability to create workflows that automate repetitive tasks freeing up a ton of time and ultimately increasing productivity.

This video explains it a lot better. ?

What does Power Automate do?

Increases productivity and efficiency by automating repetitive, menial, and time-consuming business tasks including file synchronisation, notifications, collecting data, and a whole lot more.

Seamless connection with 400+ business applications

Power Automate has a well-stocked Connectors library with over 400 of your favourite business applications that you can easily connect with. It not only facilitates deep integration with Microsoft products and tools such as OneDrive for Business, SharePoint, and Dynamics 365 but also lets you easily connect to third-party applications like MailChimp, Slack, and many more and simplify your daily tasks by automating them.

Facilitates quick and safe automation

Power Automate enables anyone to create secure workflows quickly and easily with no-code experience. It’s equipped with ready-to-use templates and recommendations for the apps that can be linked along with the purpose, along with what you’re trying to achieve. This is great for a new user or someone new to creating automated workflows.

Enables custom connectors creation

If you’re into your code, you can create custom connectors by describing the APIs you are trying to connect. Using APIs, you could say link Twitter with Power Automate and design a workflow that is activated each time someone tweets about your brand and you get sent a notification (we’d recommend an SMS notification ?).

Boost productivity and efficiency

Power Automate enables you to automate manual, repetitive tasks that chew up a lot of time, time that could be spent on more essential business tasks. You can build workflows for individual tasks as well as for large scale systems with equal ease. Power Automate can boost employee and organisational productivity and efficiency quite significantly.

Automated and instant messages

How can I use ClickSend with Power Automate?

There are a ton of use cases for using ClickSend with Power Automate. If you want alerts and notifications that are opened and read then SMS is the tool you need to be using. Reported open rates are as high as 98% with 90% of text messages being read within 3 minutes of receipt.

Automated messages

Here are some popular workflows you can easily set up in MS Power Automate.

  • New Lead Alerts – connect ClickSend with popular CRM applications like Salesforce to send you, or your sales team SMS alerts when a new lead appears in the CRM.
  • Calendar Alerts – get an SMS altering you when someone has scheduled a meeting in your Outlook or Google calendar.
  • New File Upload Notification – receive an SMS when a new file (a new specific file) is uploaded in Sharepoint Online.
  • Cancelled Events – get an SMS notifying you of a cancellation; a booking, a reservation, a service, anything.
  • Low Stock Alert – get an SMS alerting you when stock item/s are getting low and need to be reordered.
  • Form Completion – connect with a form builder like Cognito Forms and get SMS notifications when a form has been successfully completed.
  • Deal Win Notification – Receive a win notification by SMS when a Salesforce opportunity turns into a won deal.
  • VIP Customer Alert – Get an SMS notification when you get an email from a VIP customer within Outlook 365.

That’s just a few, but as you can see the use cases for SMS are broad and varied. This short video touches on a few more. We like the ‘Send me a text message when I receive an email from my manager’ but of course, we would say that. ?

There’ll be more to follow on this exciting integration and we look forward to hearing about what automations you make. Welcome, Microsoft Power Automate to the ClickSend ecosystem!
