Well, we’ve been available for a while but we’ve just added some more Applets and wanted to update this post.

What is IFTTT?

If This Then That or better known as IFTTT, is a service that allows you to connect apps and devices in ways you never thought you could! Create robust and customisable Applets to help you make the most of your time.

Applets are IFTTT’s way of bringing your apps and devices together. With over 700 apps, services and devices available on the IFTTT marketplace, you can create automations that serve you and your business.

Whether you’re a business owner, content creator, teacher, or property manager, avoid those repetitive daily tasks. All you have to do is head over to IFTTT and create an account.

At ClickSend we have teamed up with IFTTT to create an integration that seamlessly allows you to integrate SMS with your business workflow.

Our integration has you covered if you need to send monthly SMS reminders to your team or send SMS messages to your Slack channels.

Sit back and choose from existing ClickSend and IFTTT applets or create your own with three easy steps. Choose your trigger, action, name your new automation, and you’re done!

Here are some new Applets to get one’s teeth into 😀

Send SMS to a Slack channel.

At ClickSend, we use Slack as our primary method of communication as it’s secure and easy to share our work with the countless integrations. That’s why we developed an applet that helps us work within Slack. When an SMS is received, send it to a Slack channel of your choice.

Quickly share customer feedback or questions with your team by automating the task. Take out the hassle of opening the message, taking a screenshot and then sending it to your Slack channel. Let our integration work for you.

Get an email when ClickSend SMS publishes a new trigger or action.

At ClickSend, we enjoy automating repetitive and time-consuming tasks, but we also like to keep track of our daily activities, whether they are happening right in front of us or behind the scenes.

When an SMS publishes a new action or trigger, an email is sent into our inbox. This way, we can keep track of all our triggers and actions in one location to ensure our automation is working for us.

Send monthly SMS reminders.

Do you need a way to remind your team members of significant anniversaries, sales, or meetings? Send monthly SMS reminders to your team to avoid future complications. Or send monthly SMS reminders to yourself for tasks such as paying rent, bills or attending regular appointments.

Send SMS with Alexa or Google Assistant.

Sometimes your hands are full and you can’t grab your phone to type out a text message. Thankfully, we now live in a world of wonderful smart, voice activated products like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. With them and IFTTT and of course yours truly, it’s easy to send SMS with only your voice. With this Applet you can easily do it on phones and smart speakers.

And here is a really cool one built by Oticon.

Send a text message to someone important when your phone battery runs low.

Sometimes your phone battery runs low, which creates problems if your device is your primary method of communication between essential people in your life, such as family, friends, or work colleagues. Keep the people in your life updated and send an automated text message when your phone battery is low.
